At sixteen years of age I was attending a boarding school and was "nominated" to do the school’s haircutting because our local stylist wasn’t able to make it in....that was the beginning of a long career. After graduating high school, I attended Cosmetology school at 18 and subsequently completed advanced training with Vidal Sassoon Academy in London and was recommended into their staff training program, attending training in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Ultimately, I decided that I wanted to go a different route.

I have spent more than 20 years in the San Diego North County area, the past 14 owning and operating City Style Hair in Solana Beach. I have completed Matrix Educational training and have worked with Framesi, Schwarzkopf, and Redken colors, but have been working exclusively with Goldwell color for the past 12 years.
